1944 - Model I - Briggs & Stratton - 115 DC Generator Set-up. Last used under load in 1968 over one night. Started in 1975 and 2005, run for 15 minutes maybe each. This week, changed oil, shined some of rust off flywheel magnets, set points to.
Started it, got it to run smooth at full choke, idle for 1/2 hour, then died. Then it ran sporadically for couple minutes, then starved for gas.
I opened carb and needle seat had corrosion, I gently cleaned a bit and now I get better gas flow, but can't get the governor setting in concert with choke. I'll quit fooling with it. Has a good sound and song, when it does run. I did plug an old used DC, RV bulb in, and it lit and kick up rpms, then bulb burnt out. Mid afternoon response and availability.
