World War II ended the George May Rocket (Silver King) engine production. By 1945 Corporate Products, Inc. Began marketing the engine as the Rocket Motor.
Corporate Products had the engines manufactured in Detroit by Metal Products Machine Co. Rumor is that when General Motors was developing their Oldsmobile Rocket engine line, around 1946-47, they bought the production rights and dies from Corporate Products for the model airplane "Rocket Engine".
