MiniJet Motors J-3 Pulse Jet NIB Model Airplane Engine 1946 Control Line Dyna OS
MiniJet Motors J-3 Pulse Jet, Serial #187. This pulse jet is in new condition. It has never been mounted or started.
Steel pipe is rust and discoloration free. It comes in a very nice original box with all of the original paperwork. Box has a couple of tears but condition is otherwise excellent. Box insert has some crushing on the ends that cradle the engine.
Paperwork includes plans for the MiniJet 24, these have some bug chew on a couple of creases. Except for some browning the rest of the paperwork is in excellent condition. Serial number stamped on combustion housing is 187. Includes Champion V-3 spark plug.
The total length is 28 1/2" long, combustion housing diameter is 2", tail pipe diameter is 1 1/2. The latest date I can find on the paperwork is September 10, 1946, it is on the revised fuel tank sheet that is attached to the MiniJet 24 plan sheet. From what I have learned about MiniJet Motors they only produced pulse jets for 2 years, 1946 and 1947. I have the MiniJet and its box packed inside a 32 X 6 X 6 box which is packed inside of a 36 X 8 X 8 box. Overall package weight is 4 lbs 14 ounces.
