2000 Johnson 200 hp Ocean Pro Outboard Boat Motor Engine 25, Model J200VXSSS
Used 2000 Johnson 200 hp 2-Stroke Ocean Pro Outboard Boat Motor Engine 25, Model number J200VXSSS. Engine runs well, typical Johnson 2 stroke at start, takes awhile to warm up. Idles rough at times and I believe a carburetor is taking in air but I have not had time to troubleshoot. This engine has never left me stranded, it has been reliable.
Compression on all 6 cylinders is right aroud 85. All major electronics were replaced about 4 to 5 years ago. Engine looks good for the year it is. Stainless steel prop and controls included. Power trim and tilt works great. Oil injector has been deleted, simple to reconnect if wanted. Please feel free to have a mechanic survey the engine anytime prior to purchasing.
