Vintage (1946) Miniature Motors, Inc. Bullet. 276 ignition model airplane engine

  
This vintage engine (1946) is original and in very good condition. No exterior damage to indicate a crash or abuse. Timing mechanism, crankshaft, and needle valve all turn freely. It has a Champion VR-2 plug.

The black crinkle paint is in very good condition, with just a few tiny chip spots. The mounting lugs are perfectly circular and do not appear to have been used. This engine is described on page 169 of Volume 1 of Tim Dannels' "American Model Engine Encyclopedia, " as follows.

Similar to 1940 Atwood Phantom Bullet except back cover now rectangular and attaches with four bolts to revised case. Has screw-in filler cap and attaches with screw in center. Fittings such as needle parts were nickel plated. "BULLET MOTOR" in circle on bypass.
