Antique Briggs and Stratton Engine Model MF Motor Vintage Lever Start Cast Iron This a very neat old Briggs and Stratton Engine Model MF Engine. The engine number appears to be 7216. It does crank over, but it does not run. It appears that it does not have any spark. We did not take it apart to diagnose any further. All of the levers and knobs do still turn easily. The gas tank looks very clean for a motor of this age. No real rust inside, just a brown discoloration.
What appears to be the governor rod is not hooked to anything. It is just loose and will move up and down. The lever starter does stick from time to time and the crank has to be turned a little to get it to spin again. It is missing air cleaner as pictured. Not sure what else is missing or not.
Would look great in any collection. Weighs just under 73 lbs. Please view all the pictures and the video for actual condition. This item is in good used unknown working condition. Does not seem to have a spark. Here is a link to the video of this item on youtube. Please ask us any questions.
