Before use, manually rotate the flywheel to check for excessive resistance and inspect the cylinder for any oil sludge or foreign objects that may cause obstruction.

If necessary, disassemble the cylinder assembly, clean the piston and cylinder with alcohol, and apply graphite lubricant to the piston surface. Fill the alcohol lamp with 95% alcohol (below two-thirds full), ignite it, and place it under the heated cylinder for 40 seconds (try to keep the flame within the heating area). Then, manually rotate the flywheel to start high-speed operation.
